A standard X post holds 280 weighted characters, up to four photos, and every link counts as 23 characters no matter how long it is. Most posting mistakes come from not knowing how those rules work: a post that looks short but has three links and a row of emoji, an image cropped in the timeline, or a header whose important part sits under the profile photo.

Does Twit'n'Go post to my X account?
No. There's no login and no connection to X. You write and prepare a post here, then copy it or tap Post on X, which opens X's own composer with your text filled in. You publish it yourself.
Is the character count the same as X's?
It follows the rules X documents: text is normalized to NFC, every link counts as 23, emoji count as 2, Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters count as 2 and most Latin text counts as 1. The limit for a standard post is 280.
Do my images get uploaded?
No. The image sizer draws your picture on a canvas in your browser and saves the result straight to your device. Nothing leaves your phone or computer.
Is it free?
Yes. No account, no trial, no ads and no tracking.
