What is Twit'n'Go?

Twit'n'Go is a free website of quick, mobile-friendly tools for preparing posts for X (Twitter). It has a composer that counts characters the way X does, a thread splitter, an image sizer for X's post, header and profile photo shapes, an alt-text helper, a link cleaner and a hashtag fixer, plus short guides on the rules behind them.

The name says what it's for: open it, get the post right, go.

Who runs it?

Twit'n'Go relaunched in 2026 as a new, independent project. It has no connection to earlier owners of the twitngo.com domain or to anything that was published here before. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by X Corp. X and Twitter are trademarks of X Corp. and are mentioned only to describe what the tools work with.

How do the tools handle my data?

They don't send it anywhere. Every tool runs in your browser. Text you type, images you resize and links you clean stay on your device. There's no account, no login and no connection to your X account. The composer keeps your draft in your browser's local storage so a reload doesn't lose it; you can clear it at any time.

There are no cookies, analytics or ads.

How accurate are the tools?

The character counting follows X's published rules and the weights in X's open-source counting library, and it's tested against the examples in X's documentation. Image sizes marked as X's recommendations come from X's Help Center; other sizes are labelled as common practice. If X changes something and we haven't caught up, please tell us.
